Jonathan became ACCA qualified in 1990 whilst working for Ernst and Young. He then took his skill set to a smaller accountants, before making the decision to set up his own company in 1995. During this time his business has developed greatly and now consists of over 30 employees.

Jonathan’s role as Managing Director involves meeting with clients to discuss and review their year end accounts, as well as providing comprehensive and personalised advice all year round. Jonathan also regularly liaises with external bodies such as the HMRC, investors and other authorities, to assist clients with the growth and development of their business. Jonathan’s strengths include his ability to be ahead of the curve and to think outside the box. He is creative within the parameters of the law and is able to explain complex accounting matters in a way that everyone can understand.

Outside of work Jonathan is kept busy attending personal training sessions at his local gym. He also has a keen interest in cars- particularly Bentleys. In his spare time Jonathan likes to travel and has even climbed Machu Picchu on one of his trips.

Victoria joined the team at J S White & Co Limited in 2000. She immediately began studying and soon after became a qualified AAT & ACCA accountant and is now a fellow of the association.

As a senior individual in the organisation, Victoria looks after her own clients. This involves meeting with them to discuss and review their year-end accounts, as well as providing comprehensive and personalised advice all year round. Victoria manages all HMRC investigations and provides expert advice on Accounts, Personal Tax and VAT investigations. As a result of this Victoria regularly liaises with the HMRC and acts as an ambassador for the practice in this sensitive area.

Victoria is also our property tax expert and enjoys helping landlords and potential property investors to maximise their tax benefits. She also specialises in start-up businesses and has particular interest in helping clients to develop their business from the beginning.

Victoria’s strengths include her ability to cultivate great working relationships with her clients, as well as her ability to discuss business matters in a pragmatic and practical way.

In her spare time, Victoria is kept occupied by her busy family life and enjoys spending time with her horses, which she also regularly enters in to shows at a competitive level.

Sarah joined the team at J S White & Co Limited in 2002 as an office junior, during her time at the company Sarah completed her AAT qualification and has progressed to become the practice manager.

Sarah is responsible for looking after the company’s departments, and she looks after her own clients.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her children and is a football enthusiast and has a season ticket at Manchester United.

Marie joined the team at J S White & Co limited in 2009 after leaving full time education and obtained her AAT qualification in 2013.

Marie’s duties include reviewing and finalising year-end accounts, self-assessment and business tax returns as well as taking care of her own clients.

Marie is the Accounts Manager and is responsible for a team of 17.

When not at work Marie enjoys going on holiday.

Ally joined the team at J S White & Co in 2011 after passing her AAT a few years previously.

Ally’s duties include the completion of limited accounts/CT600’s, self-assessment tax returns and submission of VAT returns.

In her spare time Ally enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

Francesca joined our team in June 2017 as a semi-senior accountant and has progressed to Accounts Senior. She obtained her AAT qualification in 2011. Francesca’s role involves review and completion of year-end accounts and preparation of self-assessment/business tax returns alongside other duties. Francesca also assists with the training of accounts juniors.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys socialising and spending time with her husband and two children.

Vicky joined the team at J S White & Co in 2017 and is currently working towards obtaining her ACCA qualification.

Vicky’s daily duties include the review and completion of year end accounts and preparation of both business and self-assessment tax returns, including tax planning.

Vicky is also the manager of our bookkeeping and VAT department where she is responsible for a team of 5.

Alongside her daily roles within the company, Vicky also takes care of her own clients.

When not at work, Vicky enjoys socialising, going to the gym and spending time with her family.

Leah joined our team in August 2016 and has completed her AAT qualification during her time with us. Leah is now working towards completing her ACCA qualification.

Her duties include year end accounts preparation, Tax returns, VAT returns and training accounts assistants.

In her spare time Leah enjoys socialising and she plays darts to a competitive standard.

Caroline joined the team at J S White & Co in 2022 and has completed her AAT qualification in this time.

Her responsibilities include preparing year end accounts, preparing both self-assessment and business tax returns and other ad hoc duties within the accounts team.

Outside of work Caroline enjoys spending time with her family and friends, eating out and going to the gym.

Jasmine re-joined the team in April 2021 as a Junior Accountant. Her responsibilities include yearend accounts and other ad hoc duties.

Jasmine is currently studying for her AAT and is looking forward to becoming professionally qualified.

In her free time Jasmine likes to spend time playing board games with her husband, exploring the countryside, and baking bread.

Abby joined the team at J S White & Co in 2022 after completing her AAT qualification in 2019.

Her responsibilities include preparing & reviewing year end accounts, completing self assessments and other ad hoc duties within the accounts team.

Outside of work Abby enjoys cooking, walks with her dog, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.

Austin joined the team at J S White & Co Limited in 2021.

His responsibilities include preparing year end accounts and other ad hoc duties within the accounts team.

In his spare time Austin is a season ticket holder for Manchester United and enjoys going to the gym and watching Formula 1.

Ellie joined the team at J S White & Co in April 2022.

She is currently on an apprenticeship with us and is studying her AAT qualification.

In her spare time Ellie enjoys spending time with her friends, exercising and eating good food.

Rowan joined the team at J S White & Co in July 2023.

His responsibilities include preparing year end accounts and other ad hoc duties within the accounts team.

In his spare time, Rowan is a big Liverpool Fan and enjoys watching basketball.

Sam Joined the Accounts team at J S White in 2018, he has a degree in Accounting BSc (Hons).

His duties consist of preparing Year End accounts, Management Accounts & VAT returns.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing 5 a side football and spending quality time with his family.

Uzair joined the J S White & Co team in 2023.

His responsibilities involve compiling year end accounts for clients, along with various other duties.

In his spare time, Uzair likes to socialise with his friends and family, and also runs a car trade business.

James joined the  J S White & Co team in January 2024.

His responsibilities include preparing year end accounts and other ad hoc duties within the accounts team.

James is a big Liverpool fan who spends his spare time in the gym and running.

Amer joined the team at J S White & Co in December 2023.

His responsibilities include preparing year end accounts and other ad hoc duties within the accounts team.

In his spare time,  Amer enjoys spending time with family and friends. He also enjoys playing Snooker, exercising and eating good food.

Ella joined the J S White & Co team in 2024 as an accounts assistant and is currently studying for her AAT qualification while also taking on her apprentice role at J S White & Co Limited.

In Ella’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends as well as eating good food and going shopping.

Zara joined the team at J S White & Co in September 2024, taking on the role as an Accounts Assistant.

Her duties consist of accounts preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, and admin. She is currently completing her AAT qualification, at level 2.

In Zara’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys show jumping her horses, where she competes most weekends at a competitive level.

Tom Joined the JS White & Co team in July 2024 as an accounts assistant.

His role consists of Year End account preparation, payroll and bookkeeping. Tom is currently studying for his AAT qualification whilst undertaking the apprenticeship.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys spending time socialising with his family and friends and going to the gym. He is also a season ticket holder for Leeds United and spends most of his weekends following them.

Julie joined our team as Payroll & HR Manager in 2007.

Her duties include the management of our payroll department and overseeing the production of over 300 payrolls per month.

In her spare time Julie enjoys going on holiday in her caravan, keeping fit and going on walks with her dog.

Addy joined the team at J S White & Co in 2018.

Her duties include the production of weekly & monthly payrolls, CIS returns & pension administration. 

In her spare time Addy enjoys swimming, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Kayleigh joined the team at J S White & Co in March 2023.

Her duties include the production of weekly & monthly payrolls, CIS returns & pension administration. 

In her spare time, Kayleigh runs her own baking business ‘Kayes Cakes’ and enjoys spending time with her 2 children.

Joanna joined the team at J S White & Co in 2024.

Her duties include the production of weekly and monthly payrolls, CIS returns and pension administration.

Denise joined the team at J S White & Co limited in 2015 following our decision to develop a dedicated bookkeeping department.

Denise is the team leader of 4 members of staff and her duties include bookkeeping, reviewing and the completion of VAT returns.

Denise also delivers Sage training to clients at request.

Grace joined the team at J S White & Co in 2019 having spent the previous 2 years working in the accountancy sector.

Her duties include general bookkeeping and the completion of VAT returns.

In her spare time Grace is a board game enthusiast and enjoys visiting escape rooms.

Rhys joined the team at J S White & Co in September 2022 and is currently on an apprenticeship with us. He currently helps with the preparation of VAT returns and supports the bookkeeping department with other tasks.

In his free time Rhys likes to watch films, learn languages and play video games.

Stacey returned to J S White & Co Ltd in November 2021 and currently helps with the preparation of VAT Returns and supports the bookkeeping department with ad hoc duties.

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, listening to music and crafting.

Angela joined the team at J S White & co limited in 2004.

She is the company’s bookkeeper and is responsible for the management of finance agreements for client fees.

When not at work, Angela is a keen Crown Green bowler for her local club and enjoys walks with her dog and spending time with her family. 

Amanda manages our Company Secretarial department. 

Born in Leeds, Amanda has worked for J S White & Co since 2010.

When not at work, she enjoyed swimming, aqua aerobics and touring the country in her caravan with her family. Amanda is also an assistant leader for her local Cubs pack.

Natalie joined our team at J S White & Co and joined our team in 2019.

She directly supports our Accountant Victoria to ensure compliance with all her new clients. She also organises our monthly property tax presentation’s.

When not at work Natalie’s time is spent managing her own business and spending time with her family.

Natalie joined the J S White & Co team in 2019.

She directly supports our Accountant Jonathan to ensure compliance with all of his new clients.

Shirley joined the team at J S White & Co in 2020.

Her duties include answering telephone queries, managing incoming mail and other administration tasks to help ensure compliance.

When not at work, Shirley enjoys walking, reading, eating out and spending time with her family.”

Hannah joined the team at J S White & Co in 2022.

Hannah completes the first stages of our accounts jobs, by ensuring that all the information is present and ready to be passed to the accounts team.

When not at work, Hannah enjoys writing, reading, researching history, specifically World War I and crafting.

Melanie joined the admin team at J S White in 2023.

Her role involves meeting and greeting clients, screening calls, issuing our letters of engagement, and various administration duties to ensure compliance.

When Melanie is not at work, she enjoys walking, reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Aaliyah joined the team at J S White & Co in July 2023.

Her duties include managing the incoming mail and other administration tasks to support the team.

When not at work Aaliyah is a keen photographer and baker.

Jacqui joined the J S White & Co team in 2024.

Her role involves, reception duties, ad hoc Company Secretarial duties and various administrative duties.

When Jacqui is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and walking the family dog.

Emma joined the team at J S White & Co in March 2024.

Her job role is credit control, she is responsible for invoicing and collecting payments from clients.

Outside of work, Emma loves spending quality time with her family and friends, and she also loves to go to the gym most days before the working day begins.

David has worked as a consultant for J S White & Co since 1996 and his expertise predominately lies in taxation.

He also provides an all-round tax, accounts and business advice service to our higher profile clients.

David deals with some of our more diverse matters such research and development and tax credit claims.

He is also responsible for updating the company’s engagement letters and other documents before they are issued to our clients.

David attends a large number of tax and accounting courses to keep up to date with the latest legislation.

In his spare time, David is a member of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club and enjoys the Headingly Test Match each year and seeing Yorkshire play.

David is also an umpire for the Aire Wharfe Senior Cricket League.
